EPDM shortage until mid/late October 2021
There is currently an EPDM shortage in the market due to issues with raw material availability. We can offer alternative products with FR rated, and non-FR rated options.
FR Rated System:
The Illbruck system comprises ME010 Façade UV & Fire Membrane and SP025 Frame & Façade Sealant & Adhesive, used to bond the membrane. This system is suitable for use by window installers and for external walling and façade installation.
ME010 is a water and airtight but vapour permeable polyester based breather membrane – used either as a full façade application or in narrower widths as a window perimeter interface seal. Along with SP025 Fire Membrane Adhesive, used to bond the membrane, the Illbruck Fire Rated Membrane System complies with the reaction to fire classification Class B-s1, d0 according to EN13501-1 and also meets W1 water resistance, permanent UV stability and the correct vapour permeability criteria.

Non-FR Rated System:
Illbruck’s ME501 VV Duo Window Membrane offers an alternative Non-FR rated system.
ME501 VV provides a high performance internal and external seal to the perimeter joints between the window/curtain wall and the construction.
Due to the intelligent, variable vapour permeability (sd value), complies with ‘inside tighter than outside principles’. The full self-adhesive backing provides a quick and robust method of adhesion to window and construction substrates.
This product is ideally used as an external weather tight seal in conjunction with ME508 Duo Membrane EW/F as an internal airtight seal.
